Nepal–India Startup Conclave Held in Chennai

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 15

The Nepal–India Startup Conclave: Empowering Nepal's Startup Frontier was held in Chennai, bringing together Nepali entrepreneurs and Indian industry leaders to promote cross-border collaboration and innovation.

Organised by Play Learn Foundation | Indian Girls Code in partnership with Meritus.AI, the conclave provided Nepali startups with mentorship, strategic insights and exposure to global markets. Participants represented sectors including technology, education, healthcare, sustainability, manufacturing and digital services.

A keynote address by CavinKare Chairman and Managing Director Chinnikrishnan Ranganathan highlighted the importance of resilience, disciplined execution and market adaptability for startup success.

The conclave also featured a panel discussion moderated by Aditi Prasad, with Meritus.AI founder Ramana Prasad and entrepreneur Rajeev Mecheri sharing insights on scaling, investment readiness and leadership.

Organisers said the conclave marks the beginning of long-term engagement to support Nepali startups through mentorship, market access and international collaboration, positioning Nepal as an emerging innovation hub in South Asia.
