To turn ON/OFF LED using Button

Project Aim:

To understand the basics of circuitry and electronic components by creating a simple project where a LED is controlled by a button.

Components Used:

1.      Power Supply (or Battery) 9V

2.      Resistor 220Ω

3.     Push Button

4.     LED

5.     Connecting Wires

Circuit Diagram:

Connection Procedure:

Step 1: Connect the positive terminal of the power supply (pin 62) to one terminal of the push button (pin 57).

Step 2: Connect the other terminal of the push button (pin 58) to one pin of the resistor 220Ω (R2, pin 3).

Step 3: Connect another pin of the resistor 220Ω (R2, pin 4) to the anode of the LED (pin 43).

Step 4: Connect the cathode of the LED (pin 44) to the negative terminal of the power supply (pin 59).

Step 5: Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

Step 6: Test the circuit by applying power and pressing the button to verify that the LED lights up when the button is pressed.

Step 7: If the LED does not glow, double-check connections and component polarities.

Explanation:

In this project, we aim to glow a LED using a button as a control mechanism. The components required for this project are connected in series, as shown in the circuit diagram according to their numbers. A 220Ω resistor is connected in series with the LED to regulate the current flow, ensuring that the LED receives the necessary current to glow while preventing an excess that could damage the LED. When the circuit is complete and the button is pressed, the LED will glow, demonstrating the functionality of the circuit. Through this project, participants will gain hands-on experience with basic circuit design and learn about the role of resistors in controlling current flow within a circuit.

Research Paper on Smart Dustbin

This project presents a smart dustbin system that automatically opens its lid when a person comes near. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller, an ultrasonic sensor for proximity and level detection, and a servo motor to operate the lid. Blynk is integrated to remotely monitor the dustbin's fill status. This project demonstrates a practical solution for better waste management. As urbanization is spreading rapidly, there is an increase in the production of waste. Proper waste management is essential in public areas where bins are overflowing, as it can spread various illnesses. The present work focuses on designing and implementing a smart dustbin system that will be kept in public places, which utilizes various sensing technologies to automate the waste segregation, monitoring, and reporting process. The system is composed of three main phases, each utilizing distinct sensing technologies and wireless communication protocols.
