Combination of Resistance (Series Connection)

Project Aim:

To understand the effect of resistance in series connection on circuit behavior, that we will observe from LED intensity.

Components Used:

1.     Power Supply

2.     Resistors of 2.2K & 4.7K

3.     LED

4.     Connecting Wires

Circuit Diagram:

Connection Procedure:

Step 1: Connect the positive terminal of the power supply (pin 62) to one end of the 2.2K ohm resistor (R4, pin 7).

Step 2: Connect the other end of the 2.2K ohm resistor (R4, pin 8) to one end of the 4.7K ohm resistor (R5, pin 9).

Step 3: Connect the other end of the 4.7K ohm resistor (R5, pin 10) to the positive terminal of the LED (pin 45).

Step 4: Connect the negative terminal of the LED (pin 46) to the negative terminal of the power supply (pin 59).

Step 5: Ensure that the power supply is connected to a power source, and the circuit is complete.

Step 6: Observe the LED for illumination, indicating that the circuit is functioning properly.

Explanation:

In a series connection, resistors are linked end to end, allowing the same current to pass through each. The total resistance in the circuit is the sum of the individual resistances. As a result, the overall resistance increases, leading to a decrease in the brightness of the LED light. However, a drawback of this setup is that if any resistor fails, the entire circuit shuts off.

The Temperature Humidity Reader project utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller in conjunction with a DHT11 sensor to monitor temperature and humidity levels. The collected data is displayed on an LCD and transmitted to a mobile application using the Blynk platform. This project provides an efficient way to remotely monitor environmental conditions in real time, making it useful for applications such as home automation, weather stations, and greenhouse monitoring.
